A recent article was interesting as it talked about creative ways for businesses to cut their costs that didn't affect their basic business, layoff employees, cancel their health insurance, or other drastic measures. These are little measures that you can find by looking at your checkbook register or your online bill payment record and finding expenses you can cut.

Another article that may give you ideas for cost-cutting focuses on being frugal in your small business whether we are in recession or not. One cost saving tip is to really look at your shipping costs. Compare shipping carriers and you may find ways to reduce shipping costs that will save you real money.

I would have loved to read this article, but it feeds into an American Express ad that I can’t get rid of. Very bad.

Ruth: I just tested the link and it takes you to an entry page, which you can click “skip” to bypass. After you click “skip,” you’re taken to the article. Try that and I think it will work!
