A New Merger in the Cell Phone Carrier Market

By October 5, 2012

Follow me on:

The everchanging world of the cell phone market is still....well....everchanging! The latest, according to Connected World Magazine is a merger between T-Mobile and MetroPCS. The new company will keep the T-Mobile name.

I recently wrote a couple of articles on types of mergers and one of the articles was on horizontal and vertical mergers. As I've been reading about the T-Mobile merger, it first sounded like a horizontal merger, but then I wondered if it wasn't a little of both. It seemed to have characteristics of both a horizontal and a vertical merger. The new merger seems to impact the M2M market (machine to machine) and will help T-Mobile maintain stronger relationships in the 2G market. Even though everyone seems to be moving to 4G, there is still a healthy market for 2G data.

Do you think this is a horizontal or vertical merger? I'm interested in your comments!

Basically, if the number is published somewhere on the internet then
Google will find it. Many of the options allow you to locate unlisted phone numbers, Internet Vo IP numbers, phone type, carrier, addresses, nonpublished numbers, premium phone numbers and much more.
